I'm back!
Wow, I haven't been here in forever.... OK, since 2005 when I graduated college. But the important thing is that I'm back! Howdy to everyone who's been around long enough to possibly remember me. I joined back in my freshman year at RIT. I was the only person I knew with an iBook, and ya'll were a real life-saver! I eventually got a shiny G5 tower when they came out, and now I'm finally gonna get a new laptop! You can help me out with that in the Hardware forum.
Anyway, after I disappeared from the forum, I graduated with a BS in Professional & Technical Communication, took a few grad classes to earn an Advanced Certificate in Technical Information Design, got engaged to the engineering student I'd been dating since freshman year, got married at the zoo in Louisville, KY a week after he graduated (June 3, 2006), and ended up moving to the Lake George/Glens Falls/Saratoga Springs area of NY. Had a couple lamish jobs as admin/marketing assts (no good tech writing jobs unless I wanted a 45 min commute - ugh). But now I've quit my day job, become a freelance writer, signed to to work through http://www.odesk.com and travel to wherever my husband gets sent for work. We've been in Brazil for a month now. We'll be here another month or two still. Anywho... it's great to be back!

I've also been gone for a few years, but my life can't begin to compare to yours, faerievert!
Congrats on all that good stuff that's been happening to you. May it never end! I'd also like to say "hi" to all my friends and acquaintances here on the board. I've spotted quite a few names that I recognize. I hope everyone is well and I'll look forward to catching up! Dave |
