I had to transfer files from a PowerBook to another PowerBook and did so in target mode using firewire ... haven't done that in a while and I can't remember if I'm supposed to restart the computer I targeted over or unmount the harddrive of the computer I targeted over from the other computer ...

did I even make any sense?

Unmount the hard drive first (important so you won't currupt the directory), then restart the computer that was put in target disk mode.

Oops, didn't catch you in time I see.
