Can someone recommend a few top rated baseball games for PlayStation2? Not too steep of a learning curve either.

I just played EA's baseball game over the weekend. I think it's MVP baseball. This was 2004 (last year in the weird world of baseball videogames).

It seemed fairly easy to pickup and go with, but also having some depth if you spent more time with it. I'd recommend it, or also ESPN baseball, which is Sega's. I haven't played the current year's, but I've enjoyed previous editions.

I've done some research on both. MVP and ESPN. My son gets Game Pro mag. MVP got better ratings, but it says the learning curve is 3 hours???

My brother has both of those. Don't think he really has a preference. I don't know anything about the learning curves, though

Learning curve to know everything perhaps. I know I was having fun and doing most things right by the second inning of the first game. It's not too hard to get the basics down (of MVP), but there are more details available if you're interested in learning them.

Likewise for ESPN. Easy enough to get started, plenty of depth if you want it.

Is this for a particularly young person, or just someone impatient?

I was reading up on the two. If I remember, MVP had better graphics than ESPN. It's actually for me. I just wanna dive in and play ball...but I want options the more I play.

My son wants me to get the baseball game where they can crack each other upside the head. Can't remember the name.
