TheAppleDoctor Rides Again

OK, it's a little more like "TheAppleDoctor Sits Very Carefully In The Saddle Again", but that doesn't sound as romantic. 
Never one to do things the normal way, I managed to f**k myself up in a way that left me with a five-inch incision instead of the expected one-inch one, and a minimum of six weeks recovery time as opposed to four. Oh well, I have always believed that anything worth doing is worth doing well.
Wednesday I was given the OK to start walking further than from the couch to the bathroom, so that afternoon I went out with the dogs for about a half-mile. Yeah, well.
Yesterday was more like a quarter-mile, and NOT up the hill and into the woods. A far cry from the five-to-eight miles I usually do in a day, but a start.
