The Life And Times Of TheAppleDoctor

Posted 07-07-2009 at 01:56 PM by TheAppleDoctor
So... all this time I thought that you really ought to have Something To Say before you start blogging, but after seeing multiple blogs I realize that all you need is enough egotism to believe that someone will actually care about what you have to say. Kinda like a diary that you HOPE your little brother will read.

So without further ado: Da dah dah dah...

TheAppleDoctor's blog.

Batteries not included. Some assembly required.

Right now I am waiting for Thursday, when I get to go have some surgery on yet another thing that I managed to do to myself (a hernia). I have been off work for about two weeks, and will be off a minimum of four afterwards. Maybe more, depending on how this old mistreated body heals, but no less. So... la la la, life is fun. Oh yeah.

Yes, it is an interesting story... which is exactly why it will remain untold.

They told me I could have my choice of anesthesia. I said 'local' so I could watch. That's not quite what they meant.
Spinal or general, so I chose to go bye-bye for the whole thing. The only Spinal Tap that I want around me is on my iPod. It's outpatient - not a major operation at all - so I will be home tomorrow night. I may pass on sitting at my computer for a day or two, depending on how being knifed feels.

Home from surgery, moving (when I must) about 1/10 mph. It will be a couple of days before I can do more than stand at my computer - like I'm doing now - to surf or post. The incision is right below my waist, so sitting hits everything just exactly wrong. What with the pain pills, even standing doesn't work that well for long, so... more later.
